Laughter is great medicine for the soul and no one does it better than maestro comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka GCFR with his annual, travelling, Laffmattazz show.

Known for its spectacular display of comedic talents, Laffmattazz is back in Ibadan, Oyo State for a 2021 concert and an explosive 10th edition.

Scheduled as always to hold on Easter Sunday, this year’s event will hold at Jogor Center, Ibadan on April 4 with all COVID-19 protocols duly observed.

Speaking on the 2021 Laffmattazz, Adeyinka said: “Laffmattazz would have been 11 years, but COVID-19 prevented it from holding last year, so this is the 10th edition of the Laffmattazz concert, though Laffmattazz itself is over 30 years.”

He added, “This year is special because it is part virtual and part physical. We will be giving out a plot of land to a lucky person who buys a ticket no matter the category of ticket, courtesy of Revolution Plus. This is coupled with performances from people they would ordinarily not see for the amount being charged for tickets.”

Expected in the city of brown, rusted roofs are rib crackers like Helen Paul, Omobaba, Woli Arole, Dr Smile, Larry Jay, Baba Alariya, Peteru, Yemi Elesho, Pauldgoodguy and Remote.

Others include Arkbishop, Dr Whiteberry, MC Olympia, Shete, Eteye, Taichi, Ay Jokes, Nepa Boys, and MC Wo.

To make things even more special, this year, there would be special Nollywood appearances from screen stars like Yomi Fash Lanso, Ibrahim Chatta, and Tayo Amokade Ijebu. Music artistes like Vector, Qdot, Mike Abdul, Azadus, Barryjhay, Beejhay Sax, Agaga, Fabulous Pizzy, Baptisa; and DJs like DJ Banky and DJ Sexy will also be on ground for fantastic musical performances that have become a part of Laffmattazz.
