Missing Baby: Angry Mob Burn Down Sotitobire Church In Akure (VIDEO)

Thelagostimes has confirmed that Sotitobire Miracle Church In Akure, the Ondo state capital was set on fire after the corpse of a year old boy declared missing in the church was allegedly exhumed from the altar.

However, an eyewitness told Thelagostimes that no corpse was discovered as no part of the church was dug. The source disclosed that the hoodlums who were angry at the nonchalant attitude of the church, pastor and the police towards the matter decided to burn down the church on Wednesday.

The source further told Thelagostimes that the church pastor and founder, Alfa Babatunde who should have been on the fore-front of the case was always attacking members of the public who tried to probe him.

“He has been with DSS since last week Tuesday. We heard he collapsed in DSS custody. This morning, we heard that the boy was buried on the altar but its not true. The altar was not dug. They have even gone to his house to destroy it”, the source told Thelagostimes.

Thelagostimes recalls that about a month ago, the one-year-old baby, Gold Kolawole, was declared missing during a church service. According to sources within the church, the boy who was at the children’s department of the church could not be found after the service.

Modupe Kolawole, the mother of the child and member of the church, said she suspected foul play in the disappearance of her son and subsequently, demanded a probe into the case. Alfa Babatunde, the founder of the church, was arrested following the incident, and he has been in the custody of the DSS in the state capital.

Meanwhile, a policeman who was reportedly guarding the church premises was killed by the angry hoodlums.
