BREAKING: INEC Declares Tinubu Winner Of 2023 Presidential Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, as winner of the 2023 presidential election.

Tinubu, a former Lagos State governor, was declared the president-elect after polling 8,794,726 votes.

The INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, announced Tinubu as the winner at the International Collation Centre in Abuja during the early hours of Wednesday.

The APC candidate polled 8,794,726 votes to defeat his fellow contenders – Atiku Abubakar of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who polled 6,984,520 votes, Labour Party’s candidate, Peter Obi who had 6,101,533 votes and candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso who had 1,496,687 votes.

Of the 36 states and FCT, Tinubu, Obi, and Atiku won 12 states each while Kwankwaso won only Kano State.
