Embattled Pinnacle Communication Boss, Lucky Omoluwa, Reportedly Dead
There are unconfirmed reports that the Chairman of Pinnacle Communications Limited, Sir Lucky Omoluwa, might have passed away.
Though details of the death of Omoluwa remain vague, The Daily Sun, who quoted an associate of Omololuwa, reported that the media guru died in the early hours of Tuesday.
The source told the Daily Sun that Omoluwa was indisposed and was admitted on Saturday at a hospital, and was eventually discharged.
He was said to have returned to work at the office Monday and was see in company of his friends.
However, Omoluwa’s health was said to have taken a turn for worse early in the morning and was subsequently rushed to the hospital where he gave up the ghost.
Omoluwa is standing charges before Justice Folashade Ogunbanjo-Giwa of Federal High Court, Abuja after he was arraigned by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), alongside the Chief Operating Officer of the company, Mr Dipo Onifade, and the Director-General General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Ishaq Modibbo Kawu.
The trio of Omoluwa, Onifade and Kawu were charged over alleged complicity in the misapplication of the N2.5 billion seed grant for the Digital Switch-Over (DSO) programme.
The development led to the eventual suspension of Kawu last week by the Federal Government.
