Kebbi State First Lady, Hajia Aisha Bagudu Celebrates Decade of Mallpai Foundation

Kebbi State First Lady, Hajia Aisha Bagudu was seen sitting, beaming joyously amidst dignitaries for the celebration of an incredible decade of Mallpai Foundation. The event was held at Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton in Abuja. The thriving foundation was created to help children get back to school. Within the space of 10 years, the NGO organization picks vulnerable out-of-school children from the street, rescuing them from the suffering, dangers, and uncertainty surrounding their lives. The street kids discovered by Mallpai Foundation will be enrolled in school, securing, and insuring their life for a better future.

The wife of Kebbi State Governor has soft spot for children particularly the ones who are less privileged. Her non-governmental organisation focuses on almajiris in the streets with no home, no food to eat and incapable of funding their education. Hajiya’s organization has worked hard over the years to improve the level of literacy amongst children in the state. The Mass Literacy for Less Privileged and the Almajiris Initiative shortened for space and widely known as MALLPAI has been in existence for over 15 years but the foundation has only been officially registered 10 years ago.

Coming out as the host speaker to deliver his rousing speech, the Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Abubakar Bagudu reassured the people of his commitment to the success of the foundation. The Kebbi State Governor said he will continue to support and offer encouragement for the important organization. The foundation’s core focus is on revamping the problem of mass literacy alongside empowering youths, unskilled women and girls child.

The Congress hall comfortably hosted arrays of jolly faces, outfit of different sizes, colours and luxury jewels adorned the attendees. The event recorded the presence of wife of Her Excellency, Mrs Oludolapo Osibajo, wife of the Nigerian vice president . Big titled names at the event also include Her Excellency, Dr. Amina Abubakar Bello, First Lady of Niger State, Hon. Zainab Ahmed (Minister of Finance), the Former First Lady of Malawi, Her Excellency Madam Calista Mutharika, Prof. (Mrs) Asaba Kabir, Prof. Abba Abubakar (NMEC), Stella Okotete, Hamzat Lawal, Mc Eva Temofe (Moderator) alongside many other dignitaries. The Mallpai foundation has set a longterm goal to enroll 20,000 students before 2025
