2023 Elections: Atiku Defeats Obi, Tinubu In Akwa Ibom
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, winner of the February 25 presidential election in Akwa Ibom State.
According to the results announced on Monday by the INEC Returning Officer in the state, Prof Emmanuel Adigio, the PDP candidate polled a total votes of 214,012 to defeat candidates of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and Labour Party, Peter Obi, who polled 160, 620 and 132, 683 votes respectively.
Of the 31 local government areas in the state, Atiku won in 23 local government areas while Tinubu won in five local government areas.
Obi, on the other hand, won in three local government areas including the state capital, Uyo.
