President Muhammadu Buhari Mourns The Passing Of AVSE Wole Adetiran

President Muhammadu Buhari has deeply expressed sadness and mourning over the passing of AVSE Wole Adetiran who, before his passing, was generally considered an accomplished music director and composer.

The president described the musicologist as devoted and credible adding that he was a man whose ideals and character is a testament of the Nigerian principles.

“I urge the family to take solace in the quality of life lived by the departed. He had left his footprints on the sands of time,” the president said.

President Buhari, in his remark, also noted that Wole Adetiran was a successful composer who had taken a path in his lifetime worthy of emulation.

The condolence message which was signed by Femi Adesina, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, also urged the family to focus on the golden and aspirational life lived by the departed adding that his prayers and support are with the family.

“I urge the younger generation to learn lessons from devotion of the departed to both secular and spiritual things and how he excelled in all,” the condolence message read.

Mr. Wole Adetiran was popularly known as the composer of National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) anthem which is committed to memory by millions of graduates.

The deceased was the head of the Music department at Ibadan Polytecnic as well as Music Director of Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide.

The condolence letter was received by Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyinna Oshoffa and he had instructed Evangelist Olusegun Okeowo to deliver the condolence letter to the Adetiran family.
