Happy Hours…Is Wike Going to Abuja With His Band?

In the current chapter of his life’s journey, Nyesom Wike, the former Governor of Rivers turned Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), finds himself amidst joyful times. This elevation in status promises a brighter future not just for him but also for his associates and supporters. Among these allies, his live band has captured a significant share of the spotlight, sparking numerous discussions.

Undoubtedly, Wike commands attention wherever he appears, and among the fresh roster of federal ministers, he continues to seize the limelight. Freed from the confines of Rivers and his former capital, Port Harcourt, Wike has established a new focal point in Abuja, forming what could be referred to as the “Wike Coven” in this new terrain.

The Minstrels of this Coven, led by the artist known as Sensational Bamidele, are likely to accompany Wike, the former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant.

For those less acquainted with Sensational Bamidele and his associates, he is a gospel singer dedicated to celebrating Wike’s endeavors. His primary role centers around project commissioning, making the live band readily available to sing praises in honor of Wike whenever he inaugurates new projects.

Sensational Bamidele, whose real name is Bamidele Abiye Adeek, displays a profound commitment to Wike’s cause. Though once likened to the whoosh of Wike’s metaphorical battle ax, this description was later corrected. It was clarified that the band’s purpose was to invigorate Wike whenever he faced political challenges rather than merely serving as a weapon.

Given Wike’s track record of triumphs in various political battles, one could assert that the live band has played a notable role. As Wike stands on the threshold of new frontiers, the presence of the band is essential to provide the motivational energy he thrives upon.

Undoubtedly, the days ahead promise intrigue. After all, a charismatic and dramatic figure like Wike assuming the role of an FCT Minister is a rarity in Nigeria. However, as is often the case, the former Rivers Governor will likely trigger new trends. Perhaps, with his live band’s active involvement in Abuja, other politicians might be inspired to establish their own musical entourages.
