ELECTIONS: APC Germany Chapter Preaches Peace
With just a few more days to the election in Nigeria and the heightened tension in the polity, the All Progressive Congress (APC) Germany Chapter has asked political parties, players and stakeholders to play by the rules and observe caution.
Speaking at a news conference in Bremen, Germany during a meeting with stakeholders on the party’s strategies for the upcoming election, the Chapter’s Chairman, Honourable Olalekan Ogunwede said: “The lives and properties of Nigerians are not worth risking all in the name of politics”.
In the same vein, Honourable Jide Fashakin, the Chapter’s Organising Secretary reiterated the position of the Chairman as a bold position of the chapter.
According to him, politics is a contest of ideas and intellect, when such are missing and it becomes bloody, then the interest is not for the people again rather for self.
He added that when the lives of the people are put at risk and endangered, they cannot enjoy the dividend of politics.
The Treasurer of the Chapter, Honourable Olalekan Oyadiran also urged Nigerians to vote APC for continuous development in infrastructure.
He stressed that “APC brand of politics is progressive and that is why they continue to invest in infrastructure like the German society because in the presence of infrastructure can a nation truly develops”.
Meanwhile, the meeting was attended by APC members and Nigerians across the length and breadth of Germany.
