Nigerian Army Conclude Training Of 107 Personnel

The 1 Division Nigerian Army, Kaduna, on Thursday concluded the training of 107 personnel on effective tactical operations planning to enhance their skills and competence in confronting emerging security challenges.

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division, Maj.-Gen Faruk Yahaya, said while closing the training in Kaduna, that the 107 participants were drawn from formations, units and military institutions under the Division.

According to him, the four days training dwelt extensively on key operational planning tools with overall objective of enhancing the participants skills in operational planning and camping management.

He commanded the quality of the packages by various resources persons as well as the conduct and contributions of the participants during the training.

”It is my believe that the cadre has greatly improved your capacity towards effective operational planning particularly at the tactical levels.

”I am convinced that you are leaving this cadre here today better equipped to carry out your roles efficiently in your various formation units in line with the Chief of Army Staff vision of having a professionally responsive army,” he said.

The GOC implored the participants to transfer the skills learnt to their units and subordinates.

He said that the Army now expects to see remarkable improvement in their operational plans and conduct at whatever level they find yourselves.

Yahaya appreciated the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai, who through his continued support and dynamic leadership has encourage the division in the quest to develop her capacity to tackle contemporary challenges.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that operations planning cadre training was meant to build on existing efforts by the Division in meeting its operational needs in the areas of responsibility of staff branches, analysis techniques, intelligence preparation of the battle field and logistics in operation planning among others.
