His wife, Ibidunni who was an ex beauty queen and a popular Lagos businesswoman and event planner died in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, in the early hours of Sunday.

Her husband, Ituah, who officiated at a funeral on Sunday, hinted his listeners on the death.

“A lot of you know that I really shouldn’t be here. But that is how life is. Around 2’oclock this morning, I received a call that shattered my life, but life must go on,” he said.

A statement by the couple’s families confirmed the sad news.

“The Ighodalo and Olaleye Ajayi families are deeply saddened to announce the sudden loss of our beloved wife and daughter, Mrs Ibidunni Ituah-Ighodalo, who passed away in the early hours of today (Sunday).

“As you will understand, this is a difficult time for our families and we will appreciate some privacy during this time,” the statement said.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, the President said Pastor Ighodalo “faithfully prays for the country and the government.”
