Four Reportedly Killed, Many Injured As Gas Explodes In Baruwa, Lagos
Four persons have reportedly lost their lives in an early morning explosion that rocked Best Roof Cooking Gas in the Baruwa community of the Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State.
Thelagostimes gathered that the incident occurred around 05:45am on Thursday.
Four persons reportedly lost their lives while many were injured in the explosion around Unity Bus-Stop on Candos Road, Baruwa.
The explosion also affected houses, a primary school and other properties in the area.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA confirmed the development on Twitter.
GAS STATION CURRENTLY ON FIRE IN BARUWA AREA OF LAGOS, EXPLOSION OCCURRED AROUND 6.00AM.

It said emergency response has been activated.
In a statement, Nosa Okunbor, LASEMA spokesman, said investigation revealed that a gas station belonging to Best Roof Cooking Gas exploded burning buildings around it.
He said though the cause of the explosion is yet to be ascertained, four persons died while several others were injured.
Okunbor said various agencies have been deployed at the scene of the inferno to prevent a further spread of the fire.
“On arrival at the scene of incident it was observed that there was a gas explosion at the aforementioned location,” he said.
