BREAKING: Kenyan Govt Denies Involvement In Arrest, Extradition Of Nnamdi Kanu

The Kenyan government has denied involvement in arrest and extradition of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

At a press briefing in Abuja on Friday, the Kenyan High Commission in Nigeria, Wilfred Machage, said it is to fuel antagonistic attacks between Nigeria and Kenya.

He said; ” I wish to categorically state that we are not happy at this ridiculous attempt of dragging the name of Kenya and President Uhuru Kenyatta on this matter of arrest and extradition of self-claimed IPOB leader.”

Thelagostimes recalls that Kanu is facing an 11-count charge of treason, treasonable felony, terrorism and illegal possession of firearms, among others, jumped bail in 2017 and left the country.

He was re-arraigned before a Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday and ordered to be remanded in the custody of the DSS, while the case was adjourned till July 26 and July 27.
