According to TheNation, the veteran actor was said to be in the commercial city on a charitable mission where he shared food items to the less privileged.
A Nollywood star, who spoke to the Nation on condition of anonymity, described the incident as regrettable and a violation of human rights.
“Chinwetara Agu likes identifying with anything Biafra, particularly their muffler. A military friend just called me some minutes ago informing me about the development. He said he’s currently in their custody,” he was quoted to have said.
Meanwhile, Police spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga said the Command was aware of the incident but was yet to receive the full details.
