Indimi House of Commotion as Sisters Go on the Warpath

Things are not looking so rosy in the household of Kano-based business mogul Muhammed Indimi. Camps have been formed and sides chosen as the Indimi daughters prepare to go to war over the upcoming wedding of one of their own Hauwa Indimi.

Before, it used to be the Okoya sisters who made waves and sent tongues wagging with their antics in the public sphere. But now they have been supplanted by the Indimi sisters born to billionaire businessman Muhammed Indimi. When they are not taking over the town with opulent weddings and classy birthday shindigs, they are either fighting dirty with former lovers or in the centre of one nude scandal or the other.

People thought things had calmed down as the Indimi family cemented its reputation as in-laws of some of the most illustrious and powerful families in the land. Not many will forget in a hurry the blockbuster wedding of Ahmed Indimi to President Buhari’s daughter Zahra just over a year ago.

However, the bad blood among the sisters which the family tried its best to keep under wraps has spilled into the public arena. The upcoming wedding of Hauwa Indimi to Muhammed Yar’Adua, son of late NNPC boss Abubakar which is set for July has proved to be the key that opened the Pandora box of tension among the sisters.

The story goes that the handsome dude who is in his late 20s was originally dating another Indimi sister Fatima, until he fled the relationship after being unable to handle the fallout from a nude picture scandal she was involved in. he thereafter found comfort in the arms of Zahra Buhari until she dumped him like a bad habit when her father became the president.

Somehow, his path to enduring love led him into the waiting arms of Hauwa and the two are set to make the relationship official come July. This development is said to have not gone down well with Fatima and her full sisters. As far as they are concerned, their half-sister Hauwa has broken the sacrosanct “sisters’ code” by engaging in a sizzling romance with her sister’s ex.

So when Rahama Indimi, the ex-wife of IBB’s son Muhammed Babangida, fired the first public shots by venting her feelings on the issue on social media, Hauwa was already ready with her own verbal cannons which she launched in her sister’s direction with the accuracy of a skilled marksman. Soon, it became a game of free-for-all as supporters of both sides started hurling insults with reckless abandon.

In the midst of the chaos, not a few people are wondering how their father Muhammed Indimi feels about the conduct of his daughters in public. There are even unverified rumours that some of the Indimi women have secretly vowed to collect their pound of flesh from Hauwa by disrupting the upcoming wedding.
