A member of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon Nnamdi Okafor has been announced dead.

Thelagostimes gathered that Okafor, who represented Awka South State constituency 1, was also the majority leader of the State Assembly.

The two-time lawmaker was said to have died in the early hours of Wednesday in a Hotel in Sandton City, Johannesburg, South Africa, and was confirmed dead hours later.

However, the cause of his death is yet to be ascertained as of the time of filing this report.

The deceased is a United States of America trained pharmacist, and runs a pharmaceutical company, with diagnostic services.
