Many persons have been reported dead and several others injured in a fire outbreak at Mikano building located in Victoria Island on Tuesday morning.

Although details of the cause of the fire outbreak is still sketchy, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) confirmed that nine persons, all male adults, suffered burns and injuries and were taken to an undisclosed hospital.

“Investigation gathered at the scene revealed the fire emanated from the generator house,” LASEMA said.

LASEMA also noted that a car belonging to Rapid Response Squad (RRS) was also burnt outside the building.

Meanwhile, a Twitter user, @Teeworld2022 posted a video of the fire outbreak.
