The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the Oyo State Governor and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PFP), Seyi Makinde, as winner of Saturday’s governorship election in the state.

The state Resident Electoral Commission, Tella Adeniran, declared Makinde winner of the poll on Sunday.

Makinde polled a total of 563,756 votes to defeat three-term Senator, Teslim Folarin who got 256,685 votes.
