The Chairman of Daar Communications, Raymond Dokpesi, is dead.

A source told Thelagostimes times that the African Independent Television (AIT) boss died on Monday, May 29 after collapsing on a threadmill.

He was said to have had a stroke on election day, February 25th but survived. He had reportedly been managing his health since then, before he finally succumbed to death on Monday.

Dokpesi, who was a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was aged 71.
