The United States Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, is currently in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

Blinken reportedly touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at about 4pm, from where he proceeded to the Presidential Villa to meet with the Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He was received by the secretary to the government of the federation, Senator George Akume and the minister of foreign affairs, Yusuf Tuggar.

Antony Blinken will address the media immediately after he meets with the President.

Although he is on tour of Africa, Blinken will later depart to Lagos at about 10pm for other engagements scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, and is expected to depart Nigeria for Angola later tomorrow night.
