On Wednesday morning, fire gutted Eco Fitness Center in the Gwarinpa area of Abuja.

Thelagostimes gathered that about 50 people escaped from the popular fitness center when the fire began.

The fire reportedly occurred at about 10:00 am and firefighters were called to put out the blaze.

According to eyewitnesses, no casualties were recorded. At the time of reporting, the cause of the outbreak has not been ascertained.

The fire was said to have started in the lounge area, quickly spreading through the building.
