Abiodun Takes Oath Of Office As Ogun State Gov
The new governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, has been sworn in as the fifth governor of the state for a four-year term.
Abiodun was sworn-in alongside his deputy, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, after the duo took the oath of allegiance and oath of office at the MKO Abiola Stadium at Kuto in Abeokuta, the state capital on Wednesday.
The oath of office was administered by the Chief Judge of the state, Hon Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu, on the deputy governor around 11:40 am, while the governor took his own around 11:53 am, PUNCH reports.
Dignitaries at the event were former governor of the state, Segun Osoba; former deputy governor, Gbenga Kaka, Senator representing Ogun West, Tolu Odebiyi; Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in the state, Yemi Sanusi and the current president of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnic, among others.
