Afroneur Set To Empower 100 Youths In Lagos
As part of efforts to promote self reliance and self employment through skill acquisition, AFRONEUR, a community of young African entrepreneurs, investors, and creatives will be empowering 100 youths in Lagos.
According to one of the project directors, David Atilola, the free training will start on Monday 21st to 25th January, 2019 at Oshodi Youth Centre. It will run from 11am daily for five days.
“Our mission is to provide innovative solutions to social and economic issues in Africa. And currently we are working to create solutions in several African communities.
“One of the solutions we provide is AFRONEUR Accelerate, a project which is aimed at providing young people with the skills they need to create jobs for themselves and the community. We planned to organise several accelerate program to upskill our youth. Right now, we are organising a free graphics and photography training for 100 youth in Lagos state”, he said.
He further stated that in order to achieve the goal of this training, AFRONEUR has collaborated with several youth oriented organisations.

Also speaking, the creative director of the project, Taiwo Akorede stated that the primary aim of the training is to curb the menace of unemployment in African countries, especially in Nigeria.
His words: “As part of primary vision while building this Global initiative of Africans, we want to curb the menace of unemployment in African countries starting from Nigeria.
“We want the “Afroneur Accelerate” to empower participants with tools to improve their potentials, skills and source of income”.
Meanwhile, AFRONEUR is an initiative which has a vision to build a community of young African entrepreneurs, investors and creatives who are providing solutions to social and economic problems.
