Humanity is not an array of hair and skin (or goats would be human), or standing on two feet (or gibbons and kangaroos would sit among us). That man takes deliberate care of his fellow man, especially when he does not need to—this is true humanity.
There are two celebrations that the family of Abelinis Marshall, Abiodun Richard Oshinibosi takes very seriously every year: his/his wife’s Birthday, and their anniversary.
The latter is something that Oshinibosi takes time out to commemorate with his family, with a few relatives, friends and associates in tow.
The former, on the other hand, is almost exclusively celebrated with outsiders. This year is no different.
According to folks, the 2021 Birthday celebration of Abiodun Oshinibosi (Wednesday, March 24th) was a blast.
As expected of someone of his stature and calibre, there was much jollification, much laughter, much giving of gifts.
One critical difference between Oshinibosi’s celebration and the typical Birthday gathering is that it was held in honour of the underprivileged and needy of Nigerian society, and the gifts given went out from—not into—Oshinibosi’s happy hands.
Some people have made a name for themselves out of living for others, and Abiodun Richard Oshinibosi is one of these men. His recent Birthday celebration in which he sponsored a deluge of funds to be poured into his philanthropic Foundation for the underprivileged is nothing out of the ordinary.
A good man seeks out ways to help others—and that is Oshinibosi in a few words.
Folks would remember how his Abelinis Ltd launched the HypeKing Advocacy campaign to all 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas of Lagos State.
That large-scale awareness campaign staved off the cancerous fingers of the COVID-19 virus in 2020. That preventive step brought hope to Lagosians and Nigerians.
What about the recent Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) where Oshinibosi engineered the recognition of Nigerian youths in their different fields of endeavour? That’s the progressive step that renewed the hopes of Nigerian youths early this year.
So, against what does one compare a man like Abiodun Richard Oshinibosi? That is a good man.
