Angel Of Death: How Dangote Trucks Have Been Wasting Nigerian Lives

It was wailing galore on Monday, September 2, 2019 in Ogun as a Dangote company truck had a head-on-collision with a Honda car, killing all the three occupants.

Information at the disposal of Lagostimes has it that the Honda car which had the three occupants said to be in their 20s just negotiated the round about at the entrance of Ijebu Ode and heading towards Ibadan expressway while the Dangote vehicle with registration number DRTG 3C 005 was coming into Ijebu Ode township.

The head on collision which led to the ugly incident occurred at the POGIL junction close to Ijebu Ode Mechanic Village on the expressway.

Motorists and passengers heading in and out of Ijebu Ode were stranded as the two vehicles had already blocked the expressway.

Meanwhile, a lot of commuters and residents of the area have lamented the recklessness of Dangote company drivers since the establishment of a quarry in Ijebu North local government area.

A source disclosed that quite a number of motorcyclists and passersby have been sent to their early graves along the road in recent times.

The source however called on the government to as a matter of urgency beam its searchlight into the activities of the truck drivers in a bid to reduce incessant accidents on the highways.
