Former Vice president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar and Nigeria’s ex aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode have congratulated the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ademola Adeleke for his victory in the Osun gubernatorial election.
TheLagostimes had earlier reported that the Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja declared Adeleke as winner of the September 2018 election in the state.
The 3-man tribunal upheld the the petitions filed by Adeleke and the PDP, challenging the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Governor Gboyega Oyetola at the September 2018 governorship election.
Atiku, via his verified twitter handle, congratulated Adeleke for his victory. He wrote: “Truly, the judiciary is the last hope of the common man and the defender of our democracy. Congratulations Sen. Ademola Adeleke”.
Fani-Kayode who also took to his twitter handle, wrote: “Congratulations to Governor-elect Demola Adeleke and the Osun state @OfficialPDPNig on a great victory at the election tribunal. We have done it! My state, Osun state has finally gone PDP. I am overjoyed and overwhelmed. Praise the Lord! To him alone be the glory!”.
