Babajide Sanwo-Olu Ticks All the Boxes in Lagos State

Lagos Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has once again proven that leadership is about action, not words. His latest project, a 280-bed multi-specialist general hospital in Ojo, is a clear step towards a healthier Lagos. With this, he begins 2025 on a strong note, giving residents hope for even greater achievements.

Sanwo-Olu’s visit to the construction site was more than a routine inspection; it was a promise that quality healthcare would no longer be a privilege but a right. The hospital will offer advanced medical services, including intensive care, surgery, and dialysis, so that residents of Lagos West can receive world-class treatment close to home.

The sheer scale of the project is impressive. Built on over six hectares, the hospital is designed to be a complete healthcare hub. It will not only serve patients but also provide accommodation for medical personnel.

This way, doctors and nurses are always available, strengthening the state’s health system.

This development is not entirely surprising. In 2024, Sanwo-Olu delivered remarkable projects across various sectors. The Blue Line rail, road expansions, and improved traffic management made transportation smoother. Schools received a digital upgrade, and businesses flourished under his economic initiatives. His consistency in governance continues to reassure Lagosians that the best is yet to come.

Meanwhile, beyond the hospital, Sanwo-Olu has also begun work on the Platinum Shopping Complex in Ojo. This project will provide a structured marketplace, removing traders from the streets and giving them a dignified business environment. By improving healthcare and commerce simultaneously, he is building a Lagos that thrives on both well-being and prosperity.

Residents and leaders alike have praised his foresight. Traditional rulers, business owners, and everyday Lagosians see his efforts as a sign of leadership that listens and delivers. His administration is not just completing projects but shaping a future where essential services are accessible, efficient, and built to last.

With the Ojo General Hospital set for completion in December 2025, Sanwo-Olu is laying the foundation for a healthier, stronger Lagos. If the past year was any indication, this is only the beginning. Lagosians can look forward to a future where development is not just promised but experienced.
