The Emir of Potiskum, His Royal Highness Alhaji Umaru Bubaram Ibn Wuriwa Bauya, has narrated his ordeal following an attack by Boko Haram insurgents on his convoy along Kaduna Zaria road on Tuesday.
Speaking for the first time on Friday after the attack, he said he had to walk in the bush for about two hours, in order to stay alive during an attack that left his four aides dead.
The Emir who returned to his Palace in Potiskum, Yobe State from the hospital in Kaduna where he underwent medical check-up, thanked Almighty Allah for sparing his life and other members of his convoy who survived the attack.
The monarch was however saddened by the death of four of his aides as well as one that is still missing.
The Royal father, who spoke with our correspondent in his palace at Potiskum, called on everybody to support the federal government on security measures.
