After hours of laying siege at his residence in Abuja, operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have finally arrested former Imo State governor and All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential aspirant, Rochas Okorocha.
Thelagostimes gathered that the former governor was whisked away by the EFCC officers in their vehicle at about 06:48 pm after reportedly breaking into his living room from the ceiling.
EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, had earlier disclosed in a statement that the move followed the refusal of the former governor to honour invitations after jumping the administrative bail earlier granted him by the Commission.
According to Uwujaren, the EFCC had on January 24, 2022, filed a 17-count criminal charge bordering on diversion of public funds and properties to the tune of N2.9billion against Okorocha.
