A federal high court in Abuja has sentenced former spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh, to 39 in prison for money laundering.
The presiding jugde, Okon Abang, delivered the conviction judgement on Tuesday.
The judge had earlier found him and his firm guilty of the seven-count charge instituted against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) which accused him of illegally receiving N400 million from the office of the national security adviser.
On counts one and two, Metuh bagged seven years each, on count three, five years; count four, seven years; counts five and six, three years each and he got seven years for count 7.
The judge averred that all the years are to run concurrently, meaning Metuh would spend seven years in prison.
