Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, has confirmed her nomination as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) deputy governorship candidate of Lagos State.
The actress confirmed this in a video posted on her verified Instagram page on Tuesday.
She disclosed that she would be putting a hold on her career as an actress and will venture into politics to cause a change to improve the welfare of Lagosians.
She also pleaded for support for her and the party’s governorship candidate, Dr Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jendor to achieve a better Lagos.
“My decision is not just to accept this huge responsibility but to also work tirelessly and complement Jandor’s burning desire to see our dear Lagos live up to its full potentials”, she said.
