A United States court has issued a warrant of arrest for a Deputy Commissioner of Police in Nigeria, Abba Kyari.

According to a court document obtained by Peoples Gazette, Otis Wright of the United States District Court for the Central District of California ordered the Federal Bureau of Investigation to track down Kyari and produce him in the United States for his role in a multi-million dollar fraud perpetrated by celebrity internet fraudster, Ramon Olorunwa Abbas, alias Hushpuppi and his co-conspirators.

However, in a post on his Facebook page, Kyari denied allegations he ever demanded or received a bribe from Hushpuppi.

According to him, those celebrating the allegations against him would be disappointed.

Recall that Hushpuppi, who is known for his luxury lifestyle on social media, was arrested in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in June 2020 alongside 11 of his associates over allegations bordering on hacking, impersonation, scamming, banking fraud, and identity theft.
