Professor Ibrahim Gambari has arrived the Presidential Villa, Abuja to resume office as the new Chief of Staff to President Buhari.
Thelagostimes gathered that the 75-year-old renowned diplomat arrived the villa at about 11:00am this morning.
Gambari will be replacing Abba Kyari who died in April after battling COVID-19.
Meanwhile, the Waziri of Ilorin, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki has sent his congratulatory message to Professor Gambari on his appointment.
“I congratulate Prof. Ibrahim Agboola Gambari on his appointment as Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari. Prof. Gambari is a decent man, a cerebral academic, disciplined diplomat and he is coming in with the necessary pedigree that will help him to do well on the job. I have no doubt that he will succeed on this onerous assignment. I urge all Nigerians to give him all the support that he needs to perform in office”, he said in a statement.
