BREAKING: Terrorists Release Five More Kaduna Hostages

Terrorists that attacked the AK-9 Abuja-Kaduna train and abducted passengers on March 28 have released five more hostages, including a victim shot while in their custody, Mukhtar Shuaibu.

Thelagostimes gathered that Shuaibu was shot during a “friendly fire” while in the den of the terrorists.

Tukur Mamu, the Publisher of Kaduna-based Desert Herald and Media Consultant to controversial Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, who withdrew as one of the negotiators, confirmed the release of the five hostages.

Mamu identified the released hostages as Mustapha Imam, a professor from Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto, Akibu Lawal; Abubakar Rufai; Mukthar Shu’aibu; and Sidi Sharif.

According to Mamu, the released hostages visited his office on Tuesday afternoon to thank him for his efforts in securing their release.

He disclosed that with the release of the five, 34 of the victims are still being held in the forest.

The son of a former military governor of Kano State, Idris Garba, his wife and children and many others are reportedly among those still being held.
