National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and 2023 presidential aspirant, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has cancelled the 13th edition of his annual birthday colloquium in honour of victims of the Kaduna train attack.
The colloquium, scheduled to hold today at Eko Hotels in Lagos, was scheduled to have state governors, lawmakers, party executives and prominent support groups in attendance.
It was also scheduled to be chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari and have Professor Olufemi Bamiro, former vice-chancellor of the University of Ibadan as the keynote speaker.
Thelagostimes gathered that the APC chieftain, who made the announcement, noted that the train attack was a “national tragedy” and over 60 persons lost their lives to the terror.
Recall that Thelagostimes had earlier reported that some unknown gunmen, on Monday evening, attacked a Kaduna-bound train carrying hundreds of passengers, shot sporadically and injured some of the travelers.
