Dowen College: Three Students In Police Custody Over Sylveter Oromoni’s Death

Three students of Dowen College have been arrested by the Lagos state police command in connection to the death of Sylvester Oromoni jnr, a 12-year-old student of the college.

Lagos State commissioner of police, Hakeem Odumosu disclosed this on Tuesday.

Odumosu disclosed that three of the five students mentioned by Sylvester before his deasth are already in custody and cooperating with the police in their findings.

Odumosu added that the arrested trio are the key suspects but did not however give out their identities.

He explained that the Command is set to go for the post mortem of Sylvester’s body in Delta state to ascertain the cause of death.

Thelagostimes gathered that before his death, Oromoni had named five students who he claimed had jointly attacked him in his dormitory room, inflicting on him multiple internal injuries.

The student’s father had earlier disclosed that his child was beaten and fed a liquid chemical.

However, the school dismissed the claim, alleging that he sustained injuries while playing football with his colleagues.
