Facebook, Instagram Restore Services After Hours of Downtime

Services on social media platforms – Facebook and Instagram have now been restored.

This is coming a few hours after the Meta platforms suffered a downtime, with many users unable to gain access to their accounts.

On Tuesday afternoon, millions of Facebook and Instagram users all over the world were suddenly logged out of their accounts. Thelagostimes gathered that while many feared that their accounts had been hacked, others thought it was a network issue.

Thelagostimes gathered that this is not the first time a Meta-owned platform has faced issues. In 2022, Facebook suffered a global outage, making many unable to watch videos or send messages.

Meanwhile, Meta or Facebook is yet to release a statement on the outage as of the time of filing this report.
