Zaynab Otiti-Obanor, the former wife to the Ooni of Ifè Ọba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has congratulated the flamboyant monarch on his grand marriage to Yeyeluwa Silekunola Naomi
The former Olórí Wuraola who split with the Ooni in August 2017 citing “irreconcilable differences” surprised her fans when she posted the message on her Instagram page. Her gesture of solicitation shocked not a few people who expected her to still be nursing her wounds from the acrimonious breakup.
Unlike the vast multitude of forsaken women, her highness, Queen Zaynab Otiti Obanor has moved on from her recent disappointment. The former Queen of Ifè understands that a bridge can still be built, while the bitter waters of anger and betrayal are flowing beneath.
Hence her gesture of reaching out to the man with whom she spent a whirlwind year at the top of the world before things fell apart.
Perhaps in memory of the good times they spent together she has forgiven him. She decided to let bygones be bygones and sincerely wish her successor as Olórí a better and happier marriage than she had.
Her message was contained in a photocard which reads: “It was once said that there is nobility in compassion, beauty in empathy and grace in forgiveness. Congratulations to The Ooni and his new bride, Shilekunola Naomi Moronke Oluwaseyi. May God bless your union.”
