Lagos State governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has sent a list of his proposed cabinet members to the Lagos State House of Assembly for ratification.
According to a tweet by the governor’s Chef Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile, the list, details of which had yet to be made public as of the time of filing this report, contained names of 39 commissioner-nominees.
Although it is not confirmed whether some of the immediate-past cabinet members will be returning to work with the governor in his second and last term in office.
Akosile, in the tweet, added that 30 per cent of the commissioner-nominees are women, while others are youths, technocrats, and politicians.
“Lagos State Gov @jidesanwoolu transmits list of proposed Cabinet members to the Lagos State House of Assembly for ratification. The list consists of 39 names with 30% women, youths, technocrats, and politicians,” Akosile wrote on Twitter.
Thelagostimes reports that this is coming barely 24 hours after the Senate unveiled President Bola Tinubu’s list of proposed cabinet members.
