Gender Mobile Lagos team lead Abiodun Ajayi speaking at the event.

According to him, every girl child is valuable to every society and should be given utmost attention.

His words: “There’s a need for us to protect the image and interest of the girl child because they are valuable to us. Every girl child is valuable to every society and if we don’t place priority on that, that means we are calling on failure, we are calling for a society that is not well developed because they are a tool to developing every society.

“So, I am calling on the government, I’m calling on the CSOs, I’m calling on individuals. It’s very important that individuals also play very vital roles in ensuring that we empower our girls with skills, quality education because they are members of the society and we can’t shy away from the fact that they belong to the society and with them, I believe we will have a better society”.

Themed “with her, a skilled girl force”, the dialogue was primarily aimed at bringing together key players to formulate a document that will help safeguard the interest of the girl child.
