At least two persons were killed and four others were injured on Monday when assailants unleashed mayhem on Bagwai town in Bagwai Local Government Area of Kano State.
Spokesman of the council Shibili Rabiu who confirmed the incident, said that one of the victims died on the spot, while another passed away at the hospital, while the injured are receiving treatment.
LagosTimes learnt that the attack which occurred around 10.30pm claimed the lives of two notable members of the community.
It is gathered that one of the dead man was the son of a notable politician in the area while the second man was a 35 year old official of the Health Department in Bagwai council.
A source said the attack took place in front of a busy fish seller’s shop where people gather to unwind and socialise.
Police later came to evacuate bodies of the dead, while the injured were rushed to hospital.
