The Emir of Rano, Dr Tafida Abubakar Ila ll, one of the four emirs of the newly created emirates in Kano State, is dead.
Recall that TheLagostimes had earlier reported that the Emir was rushed to the hospital in the early hours of today. He was reported to be in a critical condition.
Announcing his death to journalists, a member of the House of Representatives representing Rano and Bukure, Alh Kabiru Alhassan stated that the deceased died at Nasarawa Hospital in Kano.
He is survived by 17 children.
