JUST IN: FG Announces Ban On Admissions For Candidates Below 18 Years

The federal government has stated that only candidates that are up to 18 years will gain admission in the 2024/2025 academic year.

The Minster of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman stated this in his welcome address during 2024 Policy meeting on Admissions into Tertiary Institutions/NELFUND Half Hour Briefing on Thursday.

“JAMB is hereby notified that there is now a ban on underaged students, those under the age of 18 into our tertiary institutions from this 2024 admissions,” Mamman said.

The minister added that the 18-year benchmark is in line with the 6-3-3-4 system of education.
