A former governor of Kaduna State, Balarabe Musa, is dead.
Confirming his death to Channels Television, his son, Dr Ibrahim Balarabe said the ex-governor died in the early hours of Wednesday after suffering from a protracted illness.
“He died today Wednesday, 11th of November at the age of 85. His burial will be around 4.00 pm today,” Balarabe told Channels Television.
He added that Balarabe Musa will be buried according to Islamic rites.
Meanwhile, Musa Balarabe’s political associate and former senator, Shehu Sani who also announced his death on Twitter, said, “Alhaji Balarabe Musa has died. May Allah forgive his soul and grant him Aljanna Firdausi. Amin.”
Balarabe Musa was elected governor of Kaduna State in 1979 but was later controversially impeached and removed from office.
