The Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Unit (Taskforce) has issued a 7-Day Removal Order to all owners/occupants of structures, shanties, kiosks and containerised shops at Marwa Waterside in Lekki area of the state.
Chairman of the Agency, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi disclosed that the removal order became imperative in preparation for the commencement of a new coastal road network along the corridor to ease traffic congestion around the Lekki-Ajah Expressway.
He reiterated that immediately after the expiration of the order, the operatives of the Agency will embark on a clean-up exercise, as well as clamp down on all criminal elements disturbing law-abiding residents within Marwa waterside.
Egbeyemi however implored all illegal occupiers of any of the government property across the State to vacate same as anyone caught would be seriously dealt with in accordance with the law.
