President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived at the Sam Mbakwe airport Owerri for one day Official visit to Imo State.

He was welcomed at the airport by a crowd comprising men in red caps and white outfits.

While in Imo, the president will Inaugurate some signature projects built by Governor Hope Uzodinma administration. He is expected to inaugurate the Owerri to Onu road and other projects. He is also expected to visit stakeholders at the State House.

It was gathered that the population at the venue of the inauguration is not as massive as expected. This is unconnected to the sit-at-home order declared by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in the region, as the leader of the group, Nnamdi Kanu, would be appearing in court today in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

However, security at the inauguration venue and the state is said to be tight today.
