Unknown gunmen have attacked the popular 135 police station in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
Thelagostimes gathered that the incident, which happened on Monday morning, plunged the area into chaos.
The suspects were said to have freed all the detainees within the custody of the Police.
According to reports, operational vehicles were also set ablaze by the hoodlums while some officers sustained bullet wounds.
Spokesperson of the Ebonyi State Police Command, Loveth Odah, who confirmed the attack to DAILY POST said the command has sent officers to the affected station.
She was however unable to give details of the attack.
