JUST IN: WhatsApp Back Online After Worldwide Outage

Social media platform, WhatsApp has come back online after an outage that affected users around the world.

Thelagostimes gathered that Meta, which owns WhatsApp, said the problem had been fixed.

“We know people had trouble sending messages on WhatsApp today.

“We have fixed the issue and apologise for any inconvenience”, Meta said in a statement.

However, Meta did not give a reason for the disruption.

It was gathered that people trying to send and receive messages on WhatsApp began reporting issues of difficulty in logging in around 8:20am on Tuesday.

More than 12,000 reports were posted within half an hour, according to the service status website Down Detector.
