Tricycle, popularly known as “keke napep” has taken over the streets of Liverpool with the aim to overtake Uber as the region’s top cab.
According to a marketing agency with the name Mad over Marketing (M.O.M) on Facebook, Ola took over the streets of Liverpool to launch a fleet of Bajaj and Piaggio autorickshaws. Passengers were given free rides on the first day of the launch.
TheLagostimes gathered that the Cab-hailing service provider, Ola has its services in Liverpool, United Kingdom after making an entry into the UK in 2018.
It launched its services in Cardiff last year and currently operates in Bristol, Bath & Exeter. Its launch in Liverpool makes it the fifth city it is entering.
When Ola launched, local taxi drivers said there were concerns over licensing and safety, but the company seems to have come to stay as they continue to foray into other cities in the Northern part of England, TVC Entertainment reports.
