Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets Saturday began their chase for an unprecedented sixth FIFA Under 17 World Cup title in Brazil on a winning note.
Thelagostimes gathered that the five-time champions fought from a goal down to beat Hungary 4-2 in their opening Group B game played at the Olympic Stadium in Goiana.

Barely three minutes into Saturday’s duel, Gyorgy Komaromi shot the Europeans ahead but the Eaglets fought back and levelled the proceeding in the 20th minute through Samson Tijani who coolly converted from 12 yards.
The Eaglets are the most successful team in the history of the cadet World Cup having lifted the competition five times in 1985, 1993, 2007, 2013 and 2015.
Meanwhile, the Golden Eaglets will face Ecuador on Tuesday, October 29 in the same venue.
